    John Brown is looking for an intern to help the Account Management team work on the John Lewis Partnership account of award-winning content from the beginning of June until late September 2017. This exciting position will involve a range of tasks across projects such as the John Lewis Home catalogue and the John Lewis Christmas publications, along with online and other high-profile projects.

    It would be preferable if the successful applicant were studying for a degree in a relevant area or recently graduated nevertheless someone who has a willingness to learn about magazine and catalogue design, editorial, current print and production process. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and writing skills are vital, as is a talent for clear communication with both the client and internal customer groups.

    You will be learning all aspects of a role that encompasses account administration, scheduling, managing day-to-day tasks and budgeting for individual projects. The role would suit a candidate studying business or marketing-related subjects.

    John Brown is looking for an experienced credit controller to join its finance team. The successful candidate will have proven experience in sales ledger management, will have great communicational skills and should be able to maintain our strong client relationships.

    As credit controller, your main responsibilities will be to maintain the Accounts Receivable ledger by raising and processing all client-related invoices, posting all cash receipts, resolving and updating all client-related queries, preparing cash-flow forecasts, dealing with legal proceedings, processing credit checks for new potential clients, ensuring that clients are on Debitex, and any other ad hoc credit control duties.

    We are looking for a confident, self-motivated professional who can handle any difficult clients/situations that may arise, as well as being able to establish and maintain good working relationships with both external clients and internal staff.

    You will be IT literate and should have a working knowledge of both Excel and Word. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP will be a distinct advantage.  We would consider full-time and part-time hours, depending on the level of experience.
