John Brown Media is seeking an experienced Toronto-based editor to help launch and oversee a new editorial property funded by one of Canada’s largest and most beloved brands.
John Brown Media, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network Group, is a leading global content marketing agency specialising in creating engaging, multi-channel content on behalf of the world's leading brands. Our teams are built around the best editors and creatives in the industry, who together incorporate editorial intelligence into the heart of our clients’ communications. Our combined editorial expertise spans the areas of food, health, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and finance. John Brown Media currently produces approximately 100 publications and projects for more than 50 clients worldwide out of our offices in Boston, London, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Hong Kong, and Dubai.
We are seeking a candidate, to be based out of our new Toronto office, with excellent and nimble writing and editing skills and an understanding of how to best align compelling content with brand goals and KPIs. This candidate has experience creating engaging food and lifestyle editorial content and a stable of freelancer contacts at the ready. It will be valuable to have experience with SEO best practices, content management systems, Google Analytics, and Photoshop. We are looking for someone bursting with creative, fresh ideas and with a deep knowledge of what’s happening right now in Canadian food culture.
The candidate ideally has experience in a client-facing environment, and with marrying editorial best practices with brand initiatives and priorities.
